Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 3:46 PM EST on January 5, 2009

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 1 am to 4 PM EST
Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory which is in effect from 1 am to 4 PM EST Tuesday.

Freezing rain and sleet will overspread the region from the
southwest late tonight into Tuesday. Freezing rain falling on
very cold ground will result in ice accumulations of one to two
tenths of an inch. Temperatures will gradually warm Tuesday... but
may remain below freezing or just at freezing through much of the
afternoon. The ice accumulation will result in hazardous travel
conditions... especially on untreated roads... bridges and
overpasses.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
